Altus Bari, Aulay MacArtair, Iyovus Sherath, Helad Kuzurlik, Lysis Cato, Meir Haytanur and Balint Chenyobor all win positions in the direct service of Thincol due to their aid in the counterstrike. This is shocking to many, including some of their formal rivals that are now afraid of these men. Gossip has some of these men conspiring also with politicians in the city, and maybe even shadier folk.
Profiles:
-Altus Bari: tall (6’3”) and handsome, lean and muscular like the Warden he is, curly dark brown hair, mustache, bright brown eyes. He has a scar on his chest from a past encounter with Jaromir Ryzfelt, his longtime enemy.
-Aulay MacArtair: a man of taller than average height (6’1”) and sturdy build, Aulay is an excellent warrior and is in top physical condition. He has near jet-black hair, tawny skin, handsome strong features and deep blue eyes. His Clan’s chief enemies are the powerful Broghan Clan, who have infiltrated other governments.
-Iyovus Sherath: this lanky and wiry fellow was once known as an extremist, but has been tempered somewhat by age. At 5’11”, Iyovus is rangy and strong, a man of craggy features, blond hair, and steely blue eyes.

Notes
-The city of Alvaron has advanced sanitation and is kept clean by civil servants. It has running water supplies and sewers. The local militia also polices the city assiduously but there are some areas, like the shady Peninsula Docks and the West Waterfront, that are dangerous. There are also some very upscale districts, especially the Dragon’s Hill district.
-The town of Morgania (pop. 6,500), not far west of the city proper, may be incorporated into the city in the coming years. This is part of the Prince’s plan to expand the boundaries of the city further. He has been pressured by his constituents to deal with the persistent crime that has come into the city with immigrants. But the Herathians whose power he depends on have forbidden him to expel the foreigners as they claim cheap laborers are necessary for the city’s commerce. So his idea is to make a merger between Morgania to justify having a “foreign quarter” that is a buffer zone between the two communities.
Immigrant groups: Nuari, Westerendi, Amazulians and Zulians, mercenaries from all over Almaren, Nordens, etc. There are small enclaves of each in the city.

-Kristaps, Alfred, Sergius and Ivar are currently the other Enforcers in the organization. The Vice Princes are a sleek, tightly organized crew who oversee the criminal activity throughout the area. They are related somehow to almost all the dirt that goes down in the Imperial Capital. However, their position ensures that they are mostly behind the scenes people, the source rather than the causers of shady activity. Add to that the supposed ties of Finn and Kayoshay to black magic, and this is a group that truly earns their name.
-The drug emperor in the South slums is Jamal Inturobe, a Nuari, and the West Side Slums are run by the even more feared Ceol Arvel, a Hinterlander. They have decidedly different approaches to business. Arvel is a ruthless tyrant, whereas Inturobe is a renowned for his diplomatic manner. Inturobe knows the Vice Princes, whereas Arvel has a connection to the Ierendi Isles, and a further connect with a Southron named Alaytun Mudhadis. Mudhadis also knows the VP’s but tells naught of them to Arvel. Both men have real estate throughout the city, especially Arvel, due to his political contributions. The northeast drug dealers are mostly local Thyatians, and are not as organized or as careful.
Jamal Inturobe AL-Anarchist
App: ht-6’2”, wt-180, hair-black/curled/g, eyes-dark brown
A former Gladiator, Jamal is in fighting shape still.
He has a crew that fixes up the drugs and bottles/bags them, a team that does distribution, several runners/enforcers, and the employees of his general store that are in on it (about half). A chief lieutenant of his is Justus Huntibe, a local block bleeder.
Justus Huntibe AL-Miscreant
App: ht-6’2”, wt-200, hair-black/curled/b/m, eyes-brown
Justus has a Herculean-type physique for a Nuari (normally a lean and wiry people).
Ceol Arvel AL-Aberrant
App: ht-5’8”, wt-180, hair-red/b/m, eyes-blue
Arvel is built like a boxer, the hallmark of his Headhunter days. He has long hair and a thick beard.
Ceol’s men run deep, plain and simple-due to his control of the plazas he is virtually untouchable. He has many lieutenants that help him run his large organization, including Connwyn Kenith and the Elite Enforcers Blaze (Deniel), Gremlin (Haul), Hawk (Gryffydd), Ogrillon (Vaughn) and Pike (Hefin). Ceol’s business makes him insecure and paranoid, so he has little humor when things go wrong. He has a hard-hearted and menacing demeanor, but a soft spot for his family. Not as cerebral as Connwyn, he is nevertheless intuitive and shrewd.
Deniel
App: ht-5’10”, wt-220, hair-shaven black/g, eyes-green
Deniel is not tall, but is very powerfully built and intimidating. His temperament is actually fairly upbeat and funny for a killer. He currently is known as being the most efficient and reliable assassin/enforcer of the bunch.
Haul
App: ht-5’7”, wt-145, hair-black/m, eyes-brown
The compactly built Haul is usually intense-looking, and his lean angular face makes him fearsome looking when he is angry. His temper is a legendary thing, and the small man is a terrifying combatant with his sewar (a type of longknife)
Gryffydd
App: ht-6’3”, wt-195, hair-black/curled, eyes-blue
Gryff is tall and slender but built like a warrior nonetheless. He has the ambition, astuteness and wit to perhaps rise in the ranks.
Vaughn
App: ht-6’4”, wt-290, hair-red/b/m, eyes-brown
Built somewhat like a mack truck, Vaughn is a handsome man despite his large girth. Vaughn has been reprimanded before by Arvel for bad decisions and is less trusted than he once was, but his vicious reputation still speaks volumes for him.
Hefin
App: ht-6’1”, wt-190, hair-ginger/curled, eyes-blue
Hefin is the small one of the top dogs-or is he? Hefin is actually a quick thinking and able lieutenant, perhaps keenly pretending not to be too ambitious or good at what he does.
Connwyn Kenith AL-Miscreant
App: ht-5’10”, wt-175, hair-blond/m, eyes-hazel
Kenith is more slightly built than Arvel but just as muscular and lean. He has shoulder-length hair and a true Celt-style mustache.
Kenith is Ceol’s go-getter right hand. He is more treacherous and manipulative than Arvel, a honey-tongued viper. Connwyn is cerebral and ambitious, with an impressive sense for economics and organization.
Alaytun Mudhadis AL-Aberrant
App: ht-6’, wt-260, hair-black/m, eyes-brown
Years of living well have given the once lean warrior Mudhadis a wider profile, though he is still a deadly fighter. His Ylari-style mustache is grey, just as his dark hair is shot through with granite. His once crisp face is now round and ruddy, though still noble-looking. Alaytun has an amiable and almost warm demeanor, but also a ruthlessness to match the baddest.

App: ht-5’9”, wt-155, hair-black-short, eyes-brown

App: ht-5’6”, wt-160, hair-black/braided-long, eyes-brown
Other assorted evils
Drake the Reaver A pirate, corsair and violent foe
App: ht-6’7”, wt-290, hair-black/m, eyes-brown
An intimidating figure, Drake is loud, vicious and belligerent. He always has a cold, sizing-up type of look to him. Drake’s rep is not hurt by the fact that he has the pure muscle titan physique of an ogrillon.
Jaromir Ryzfelt A villainous former Count in Vociya, in league with Nosferatu
App: ht-6’2”, wt-175, hair-brown/m, eyes-blue/green
The slim, elegant and blue-blood look of Jaromir belies his deadly efficiency as a warrior, a man known half a world away for his swordsmanship. Jaromir is a icy, harsh man with an omnipresent air of composure-literally unshakable. His almost wolf-like features and cold eyes give a hint of his sinister nature. He is of the Herathian diaspora and has Heldanner blood as well as Vos.
Cormac O’Broghan Heir apparent to the evil/influential Broghan clan
App: ht-6’2”, wt-212, hair-dk brown/m, eyes-grey

Description of various states in Arkhon
Arkhon: States By Region
TA 3008
Ideas:
-Catholic-Orthodox Western Pantheon is obviously a polytheistic version of the Western church.
-Orthodox Milenian Pantheon is similar to Byzantine theology, but polytheistic.
-The Way of Kalim (derisively known as the “Church of Light”) somewhat resembles the universal polytheism of the COWP but rooted in the Sakarite tradition. It is the de facto religion from northern Amazulia (and in other parts of that continent as well) across Sakar and into northern Zoria. It does not have an official bureaucracy and the holy men of this religion are solely religious leaders with no secular power (though a king or noble in a Sakari kingdom might heed the advice of a respected priest).
-There are many pagan sects throughout the entire known world, although the Churches try to stamp them out.
-Annuvia was populated by people from Almaren after the fall of the Pentarchy. This accompanied the massive Folk Wandering of the Nordeskai. Annuvia’s population consists of people of northern and western Almareni genetics for the most part.
-The indigenous peoples of Annuvia still resist the “invaders” in their individual city-states. The Ten Nations of Longhouse-peoples have considered war on the Annuvians, but internal divisions keep them from presenting a united front against their foes. Often the indigenous Annuvians are too decentralized to resist the Imperial power of the “foreign devils.”
-The Herathian elite are manscorpion beings. They stay in human form most of the time. Their group of people are entropy cultists and dangerous, but they do not appear so. In fact they are very cunning and seductive. They often are found in money-lending, alcohol and other rackets, murder-for-hire, etc.
-The Ashby clan arrives in Londell, Allon in TA 3008. They also own a secluded borderlands barony in Wondervale, the better to work their schemes in private. They are a strange lot, a family of prodigies and miscreants both. They accumulate wealth and power slowly. The Ashby children are very discerning about breeding – they take traits rather than social class in some cases.
People: Archibald, father of the family. Clarissa, official wife of Archibald. Aelfthryth, daughter of Archibald from previous marriage. Ealric, son of Archibald from previous marriage. Ormar, son of Archibald and Clarissa. Estmar, 2nd son by C. Freomund, 3rd son by C.
-Western Almareni kings are traditionally friends of the elves and dwarves to the extent that they try to avoid hostility if at all possible. Almareni kings have no problem fighting with one another, however.
Western Almaren
Western Imperial Fiefs (Clantire, Cambria, Orleach, Brennaught)
-Heritage: Yenfey, Westerendi, Norse. These are the farthest eastern territories of the Western Empire. Now they are governed mostly by Galadon, which is appropriate because they are the Hinterland peoples (eq. to Scots).
Notes: Cambria is mountainous and full of rebellious Prythion tribes (proto-Westerendi). Clantire is rugged and influenced by the shadow government of the strong nobleman and sorcerer Adair Mac Luthais. Orleach is influenced by Nordish legal ideas thanks to centuries of influence by Nords.
Important People: Torin Mac Morgainn, King (Ri ruirech) of Clantire. Matain Mac Alasdair, King of Cambria. Garaidh Mac Eumann, King of Orleach.
Notes: The Western Empire is the most politically modern of the Western Arkhon nations, since it operates on a quasi-federal model that is more advanced than the Nordeskai version. The Western Empire was the replacement for the 300 year Norse Empire (which wasn’t one centralized empire at all). It rose to prominence 100 years ago thanks to an alliance between the indigenous Savaeldani who lived in the Kingdom of Alethuan and the Westerendi who had risen to prominence and civilization in a number of states thanks to relations with the Elvish empire. The original impetus for the Western Empire was the Treaty of Neryth, which united the major, and formerly independent, kingdoms and Eldani and Novani realms under a system of government that combines oligarchy and imperial monarchy. Eldani and Novani are subject to different forms of government and both have a high king, but strong local polities allow decisions to be made locally for the most part. The Eldani have their own sovereign territories that Novani are not allowed into, but there are many Eldani enclaves that allow humans. The culture is mercantile, scholarly, and has a republican, communal air.
Government: Two high kings lead the Eldani and Novani respectively, but the real authority comes from the Inner Imperial Parliament, a small council of the most influential kings in the empire, who determine national policy. The middle class of merchants is slowly gaining political traction through increased use of currency, though the aristocracy guards their power jealously. The individual kingdoms are not obligated to conduct policy to the interest of the empire, so the parliament was founded to “harmonize” the interests of the monarchs so that they could all share in the wealth. Monarchs are elected and thus represent their clans to the parliament.
Kingdom of Allon (Alanorian Empire)
King: Ademar I (Nordens/Mowbray). He resembles his brother and father, with curly red-gold hair, icy-grey eyes, pale skin and a youthful, fresh-faced look. He is a skilled and fair administrator, but also suspicious, unscrupulous and not well liked. He is a notorious womanizer as well, which has gotten him into trouble. His coat of arms is quartered: In the NW and SE quadrants are the Nordens: Azure, a griffon rampant or. In the NE and SW quadrants are the de Mowbray: Gules, a lion rampant argent.
Patriline: Angelon Nordens (from Angelon in the eastern duchies); Matriline: de Mowbray (from the original Allonian Nordens line). His father Hildebrand II and brother Basewin I preceded him on the throne. He is the great-grandson of Theobald de Mowbray, the first to don the Lion Crown.
Children: All of King Ademar’s children thus far are illegitimate.
-Heritage: Stone-peoples, Yenfey (proto-Westerendi), Corisan, Esken, Norse, Nordens
Capital: Londell (pop. 120,000). Londell is a very old city, dating back to the Yenfey days when it was a fishing and trade town on the Lon River. Now it is a sprawling port city built on three islands in the Lon Delta that are not connected to the mainland by bridge.
Administration: It is divided into 10 western and 9 eastern Duchies. The center is the Crown Duchy of Londell, which the King personally administers.
Area: 650,000 sq. mi. Allon is the largest imperial state in Almaren.
Climate: Allonian territories: Temperate; moderated by prevailing southwest winds over the North Oceanic Current; more than one-half of the days are overcast. Limellian territories: Generally cool winters and mild summers, but mild winters and hot summers along the Southern sea; occasional strong, cold, dry, north-to-northwesterly wind known as mistral.
Terrain: Allonian territories: Mostly rugged hills and low mountains with low forested coastlands; level to rolling plains in east and southeast. Limellian territories: Mostly flat plains or gently rolling hills.
Languages: NW Almareni, NW Nordish, Westerendi, others
-there are 3 dwarvish states and 4 elvish independent domains within these lands.
Notes:
Allon is in a strange position. The previous king, Basewin I, was killed by a withering poison from an arrow shot by a peasant assassin with grievances toward the King. His Captain of the Guard, Blasi, slew the unfortunate peasant after the confession but it was too late. Before he died, the King ordered that the Lion Crown pass to his brother, Ademar. Ademar is a skilled administrator, but he does not have the military skill of his brother. He also is reputed to be ruthless and controlling.
The homelands of Allon are in the west. These areas encompass both fertile breadbasket lands (in the south and east and along the river) and mountainous areas (north and west). The eastern lands are partially influenced by Lothair II and consist of rich coastlands and farmlands, interspersed with deep forests.
Kingdom of Grindenwald
Ruler: Storlock, King of Grindenwald.
Capital: Grindenhold (pop. 87,000), seat of the Power Arkan.
Notes: This nation lies west of Allon, bordering Cambria. It is a half-Nordish and half-Sisaromikhani nation. The rulers are Sisaromikhani, and the government has a decidedly theocratic air. It was founded by Sharn in the late Pentarchy. It was once part of a more ancient empire of dwarves. It has become the most important trading partner to Imperial Allon.
Area: 122,000 sq. mi.
Kingdom of Limella
King: Lothair II (Ciprian). He is tall and lean, with tawny hair and green eyes. His features are aristocratic and he is clean-shaven. He often wears a cloak bearing his Coat of Arms: Gules, a semis of fleurs-de-lis or.
Patriline: Ciprianic Dynasty; Matriline: Chirenne (grandfather was Count Leodegar the Great)
-Heritage: Tratian-Corisan (Tratians were mainland Yenfey, later conquered by the magnificent Corisan Empire), Lammish (a Nordeskai people), some Milenian and Alayshan influence.
Capital: Courenne (pop. 80,000) is an old city, founded as a trade city by the Tratians. Later the Corisans administered it. It was under Ambarlach’s extended demesne during the Pentarchy. Then it became home to migrant tribes of Lammish, the people who would become the common stock of Limelle. It has grand Gothic Pantheonic cathedrals and majestic architecture in general. It also has several boroughs that serve different purposes – in all it is one of the most splendid cities of the West. The majestic silvery laen Gilded Hall was built by Savaeldani architects and engineers in the days of the great Tratian kings of the region. Now it is home to the Royal family when they are not in their personal lands outside the city. The king has also built great boulevards, commissioned the building of cathedrals, and constructed a fortress complex around the Gilded Hall.
Administration:
Area: 196,000 sq. mi.
Climate: Generally cool winters and mild summers, but mild winters and hot summers along the Southern sea; occasional strong, cold, dry, north-to-northwesterly wind known as mistral.
Terrain: Mostly plains and rolling hills in the north, mostly mountainous in the south and east.
Notes: King Lothair is a charismatic, energetic, brave and has a desire to expand his Kingdom’s land, including his own royal demesne. He has expanded the power of his kingship to the point where he is restricting the power of local lords and centralizing the authority in his hands. He has accumulated a large personal military which is part of the reason for his success. He is also aware of the growing middle class – and he supports them to undermine the power of the nobles in his favor. He is well-liked in general by the populace.
In TA 2990 he was having terrible problems with the Herathians (a migrant ethnicity found across Almaren and into Almora, but they originated in Sakar), who he saw as promoting greed and worshipping in cabalistic entropy sects, so he exiled them and stole all of their property.
He fought two wars with his vassals in 2989 and 2993, a war with Hildebrand II of Allon from 2995-2997, and co-led the Golden Crusade with Basewin I of Allon and Emperor Erkenbald I of the Pantheonic Corisan Empire from 2998-3001. This led to his split with Basewin, who acquitted himself haughtily in Sakar after the conquest of Nidera.
He is planning to sign a contract with Audemar to settle the land disputes. He has had marriage troubles as his first wife (Natanaelle - Limelle) died, his second (Rusila, sister to King Frösten of Gyrea) he did not care for and repudiated, and his third (Sybille - PCE) he will likely be forced to cast away because his second wife’s claims are supported by the Pantheon.
Limelle is a mix of ecosystems: The majority of the land is rolling prairie and thus natural farmland. There are also large tracts of forest and mountains that are generally less populated
Languages: Northwest Almareni, others
-There are a number of small dwarvish feudal states here. Hin are allowed on the plains and have a county of their own.
The Four Kingdoms of Mormelar (Casparan, Aurelin, Ilion, and Vereden)
Kings: Ferdinand V of Casparan, Conrad II of Ilion, Eligio IV of Aurelin, and Romelio I of Vereden. These Kingdoms formed an alliance just 13 years ago thanks to Ferdinand’s energy and ambition.
Capitals: Elarven (pop. 70,000)
Notes: The people here are often dark-haired, though they are taller and fairer-skinned in the north (Atlanto-Med) and shorter and more olive-skinned in the south (Classic West Med). These Kingdoms became allied thanks to the efforts of Ferdinand V of Casparan’s Treaty of Tarien of TA 2986. In 2994 he began the Great Initiative, the main aim of which is the extirpation of the Alfaris warlords, who are the harsh and religiously-intolerant remnants of the once mighty Kalimite rule, from the lands to the south of the Four Kingdoms – they at one point belonged to the Marioth Kingdom*, which was conquered by the Caliphate of Al-Kalim during their first expansion. The Four Kingdoms are ruled by descendents of the Marioth warlords who see themselves as the direct heirs of Marioth and desire the land returned. In 3002 the coalition was dealt a serious defeat by the Caliph Aknin, whose victory at Vetasco claimed 150,000+ Mormelari lives. However, the alliance is not dissuaded and is planning for another inevitable confrontation. Powerful herder and sorcerer interests have the ear of the nobility here thanks to alliances and back-room deals.
Area: 230,000 sq. mi.
Languages: Southwest Almareni
-There is an indigenous population of Rhiaeldani that are quite hostile to visitors here. In addition, there are 6 other Eldani domains in this ancient land (including the three in the south). In addition the mountains of the large land hold a large dwarvish empire (Athanar) and a large gnomish city.
-The population is about 8-10% Erovi.
*This kingdom was founded in TA 2126 by the conquering tribes of Nordeskai migrating from the east. It eventually grew to encompass the areas of modern Mormelar and Alfaris lands. It became a syncretic culture that mixed elements of the pagan Nordeskai faith with the Pantheon’s doctrine. The population was 85% free farmers, 10% enlisted warriors (at all times), 5% priest/noble/royal. They were also city and monument builders who mimicked the achievements of the Southern (Nylenian) Empire. The kingdom was destroyed by the Caliphate of Al-Kalim.
Pantheonic Corisan Empire (decentralized)
Emperor: Disputed. Current power struggle between Sigebert, Count of Graiskild, and Lammert, Duke of Ravenstan; both men are in their twenties and of good lineage – Lammert is the son of the previous Emperor Ercanbald I and Dominike, Countess of Seremon whereas Sigebert is the son of Aistulf the Bear and Oriel Nordens.
Language: Southwest ‘High’ Nordish, Northwest ‘Low’ Nordish, various Almareni.
Notes: The people here are diverse. The northern part of the Empire consists of sparser-populated, Nordeskai states. These people are generally tall and blond. The southern part of the Empire consists of mountainous Alpiner states. These people are shorter and darker in general. The empire is not centralized but instead the power rests in the hands of local lords, and the empire is consequently a loose alliance of bickering states. Always there is tension between the Emperors and the local lords. The Emperors have tried to expand their power, but always end up having to persuade the lords for support. Many Emperors have used their position to threaten the Pantheon itself, but these tactics have not ever worked for long.
Important figures:
-Gosbert II, Margrave of Marenburg;
-Moritz I, Duke of Esken;
-Emerik I, Duke of Braejr;
-Rennhold III, Duke of Lower Lotharia;
-Kaspar II, Duke of Upper Lotharia;
-Raganhard, Landgrave of Rendesken;
-Beroald IV, Margrave of Leisken;
-Milan I, King of Valkema;
-Ctibor I, Margrave of Merova;
-Lammert I, Duke of Ravenstann;
-Eberhard II, Duke of Adallbruck;
-Korbinian IV, Duke of Eusdria;
-Hartvik, Duke of Karinth;
Demihumans: Also there is the dwarvish kingdom of Grindenwald in the north. There are a few scattered elvish domains, especially in the forests of the central parts. Hin also call the northern plains home.
The Taronian City-States (Notable: Alvaron, Margand, Taronia, Telona, Cauranza, Accoro, Acesa)
Rulers: The city-states are mercantile republics ruled by councils whose type varies according to region. Often the councils are lead by a strongman of some variety.
Language: North to South-Central Almareni.
Notes: The city-state culture is not feudal. Instead the individual cities have “bought out” their feudal lords and have strong republican government institutions. Law is codified and sophisticated and the economy is more fluid and monetarist than in the north. Commerce is brisk here, and the trade economy has brought tremendous wealth to the city-states. There are many institutions of learning in the city-states, more so than any other part of Almaren save perhaps Milenia. Some cities rely heavily on mercenaries while others have created sophisticated compulsory service militias inspired by the Corisan Legions of ancient times. The culture is chaotic, and periods of near-anarchy have led to the rise of strong leaders to guide the various factions through times of trouble. Alvaron is the exception, since it has had a structured council since ancient times. Alvaron is the seat of the Powers Mikheil and Sirene. Margand is the seat of the Powers Hadrak and Sonja.
Area: 361,476 sq. mi. for the entire peninsula (including Rona’s land)
Important figures:
-Fortunato (House Cabrini), Sinor of Alvaron;
-Rustico (House Folena), Duke of Taronia;
-Mercurio, Dictator of Accoro;
-Garibaldo, Dictator of Acesa.
Demihumans: Elves live in the great forest (Eldanor) which is enclosed by Daronia proper. Some hin dwell on the plains land.
Duchy of Almadil
Ruler: Rabel, Duke of Almadil.
Capital: Almaden (pop. 60,000), seat of the Power Arisa.
Language: NC and NW Almaren
Notes: Almadil is a powerful duchy north and west of Alvaron. The Duke is nominally part of the PCE but his territory is sovereign. Within his borders, his authority is absolute. The duchy is around 13,000 sq. mi. in area, sitting on the confluence of the Almadil and Den rivers. Almaden is an ancient city and a holy site for the Pantheon. The Duchy is well off thanks to it’s advantageous position in trade.
Pantheonic Holy-States
Ruler: The Patriarch of the Western Pantheon – Arcadius III.
Capital: Corisa (pop. 50,000 – when it was the capital of the Tiranean Empire, the population once reached near a million).
Language: Ecclesiastical Pantheonic (Classical Corisian), Central Almareni.
Notes: The Pantheon cannot operate unchecked as of yet, because the Emperors often threaten his sovereignty. But Arcadius is still the most influential man in the West. The Golden Crusade failed just as he ascended to the position and he was displeased with the failure. He is therefore planning for another Crusade, and thinking of the best way to implement it. The Holy States are administered by the capable Pantheonic bureaucracy.
Kingdom of Rona-Paragon
King: Erkenbald II, too young to rule, is watched over by the regent Sumar von Draachen. Another possible claimant could be Baldwin III of Morienne.
Capital: Paraven (pop. 63,000)
Language: Northwestern Almareni, South-Central Almareni, Classical Alashayan, others.
Notes: This country is technocracy-infiltrated, and is the source of the disruption on the Daronian Peninsula. Rona-Paragon’s throne belongs to Erkenbald II, who is the grandson of Emperor Erkenbald I, meaning that when he is old enough to rule he will have a claim to the Imperial Crown as well. However, Baldwin of Morienne wants the territory of Rona-Paragon for himself, and may press his claim.
Rona-Paragon has a diverse ethnic background thanks to the amount of possessors over time. The elite of Rona-Paragon are Nordens knights, who provide for the defense of the Kingdom and own all the land. The indigenous Almareni, Alashans and others are agrarian inland and mercantile on the coast.
Demihumans: This kingdom has an autonomous area ruled by half-elves, which is a rarity. Also there is an ancient grey elf city-state on the southwest coast.
The Norse Kingdoms: Vannia, Gyrea, Steiland.
Kings: Njord VI of Vannia, Frösten II of Gyrea, Brindolf I of Steiland.
Language: North Nordish.
Notes: These are the successors to the Norse Empire. They have transformed from hostile warrior chiefdoms to feudal kingdoms fairly smoothly, and now their political systems are far more organized. They still engage in occasional raids and hostility towards their neighbors, but are more concerned now with maintaining stable monarchical states. There is a sound balance of power between the nobility and the royal families of these Kingdoms. Their population is sparser than average thanks to the cold climate.
-There is an ice-elf kingdom, but men do not visit it often. In addition there are the Modrekh, an evil ES (Evolutionary Strategy) of dwarves – with regular and dark dwarf blood.
Alfarisid Domains
Caliph: Arith, son of Aknin the Terror (so named because of his stunning and fearsome victory at the Battle of Vetespa).
Language: Classical Alashayan, others.
Notes: The Alfarisid dynasty is the last remnant of the Caliphate of Light’s glorious conquests in Almaren. The rulers hail originally from the deserts of Amazia. The Al-Faris clan is all that is left of the once-great Kalimite Caliphate that began 600 years ago. They hold onto the southern Mormelar lands with a vengeance, but the warlords are beginning to fear the signs coming out of the north, particularly since the capable Aknin is now dead and his son is untested.
Eastern Almaren & Western Almora
Kingdom of Brasowia
King: Rağimiež I
Note: Brasowia contains other feudal territories that are largely autonomous but I do not distinguish them here. It is a relatively decentralized set of feudal territories.
Language: West Valynic, others.
(A-Poles)
Kingdom of Megara
King: Alvian I
Notes: This is a strong feudal kingdom, and mostly consists of flat or rolling plains where herding and farming is the economy of choice. The Megari people were originally a tribe of steppe nomads who were animistic-pagan in their religion, but when they decided to convert to the OCWP they were allowed to settle in the ___ Basin.
Language: Megaric, others
(A-Hungarians)
Kingdom of Santyran Olharia (ruled by a would-be “Sarevo” of Nilenian origin)
Keniaz: Dimitar I (an imperialist)
Language: South Valynic, Nylenian, others

Kingdom of Netavia
King: Sinisa II
Notes: The indigenous people are related to the Yevians in this kingdom. This kingdom is fairly small but it’s people are fiercely independent.
Language: South Valynic.
(A-Serbs)
Levonic Tribelands
Notes: These are the pagan dwellers of the north marches and plains. They live in relatively sparse fiefdoms but may unite if threatened.
Language: Pelatic languages.
(A-Baltic Prussians)
Rusinian and Jevian Principalities
Rulers: These states are decentralized and rural. Local Princes rule the individual city-states. Kviatoslav of Calechia-Valenil is a rising star, as is Gerasim of Bogomir-Vasil.
Notes: These people have diverse appearance. In general they are medium to strongly built with the full range of Caucasian coloring.
Language: East Valynic (Zoro-Almiran)
Standard warfare: Their princes (medium cavalry) lead the army, wearing chain or banded mail and wielding lances or varieties of long blades with the occasional flail. There is an A-Wendar Novani and Eldani state called Valandor. There is also a Denagoth-style realm in the A-Urals.
(A-East Slavs)
Nilenian Empire
Emperor: Spyridon VIII (Solmund Thrainn’s Son), Empress: Callista.
Language: Nylenian (Zoro-Almiran)
-There are numerous smaller Eldani communities in the Empire, often not far from civilization. The mountainous lands are also home to many other races, as much of the empire away from the main roads is still wild despite thousands of years of habitation and cultivation.
Notes: The previous Emperor was a sluggard who lost numerous imperial territories. He was killed in an imperial revolt that was provoked from without by members of the Black Syndicate. The current Emperor is a former military commander from the Crusades, the son of a Norse shipbuilder and a Nilenian woman. He led the forces that routed the uprising’s leaders, and subsequently charmed the Crown Princess into marrying him. Now he maintains an iron hard grip on power, fearing for the future of his land. He does not like the news he is hearing from Western Almaren.
REVISE-Make Solmund next leader, after failed crusade.
(A-Greeks)
Lankaran Corisan Sultanate
Sultan: Saruhan Attal
Lanugage: Oghuzic (Eltey)
Notes: The influx of evil humanoids into this land thanks to the subversive activities of the Temple of Bozdogan has led to the exodus of Eldani populations who in some cases have lost ancient kin-holds. The Omikhani stay stubbornly but are hard-pressed. The people are regularly terrorized by groups of marauding humanoids. The Sultan does not realize that the humanoids he is trying to keep in check are being aided by the Temple, which is his “ally.” Many cities here are historical, and on important overland trade routes. Mining, agriculture and trade are the basis of the economy, and forestry where applicable. The Sultan maintains a strong ruling class of administrators to ensure his position as the land’s autocrat.
(A-Turks)
Kingdom of Tesfania
King: Jirair I
Language: Dvinzinian (Zoro-Almiran)
(A-Cilician Armenian)
Kingdom of Yalu Olharia
King: Alp Kahatir
Notes: This kingdom occupies part of the Yalu Basin, east of the Yevian principalities and west of the Gorak and Uvangar Khanates. Originally it was not occupied by sedentary peoples, but gradually it grew rich through trade and contact with the southern Church of Light. Now it is a civilized land, divided into administrative districts. It is ruled by a Khan, but the Khan’s decisions are influenced by a collection of wealthy oligarchs and by the Priests of Light.
Language: Proto-Olgarian (Eltey?)
(A-Volga Bulgars)
Sakari Subcontinent
Nurid Sultanate of Dythestenia (ruled in unison with Nithia in NA)
Sultan: Feredun
Nurid Sultanate of Nicostenia
Sultan: Dariuš
Sultanate of Alashia
(independent of Sargis rule, the Alashians were the progenitors of the Church of Light’s conquests under Salamun Kalim)
Sultan: Siraj Kalim
Nurid Sultanate of Ilarum
Sultan: Iraj
Nurid Sultanate of Merahšan
Sultan: Sorouš
Nurid Sultanate of Makistan
Sultan: Hirad
Harasmian Empire (extends into Almora)
Shah-an-Shah: Korai
These people have Arab, Turkic, and Persian elements.
(A-Ayyubids and A-Khwarezm Turks)
NE Amazulia - Amazia
Alfarisid Caliphate
Caliph: Arith
(A-Almohads)
Beni Jassin Emirate
Emir: Ešamay
(A-Beni Ghaniyas)
The Amazi have Arabic, Berber, Touareg and Nilotic racial elements, depending on the area one is in.
NW Amazulia – Zulia
There are numerous city-states situated on the river valleys and plains of Zulia. Also there are less centralized tribal chiefdoms scattered across the lands. Their racial composition is Niger-Bantu predominantly, with some Pygmy and Nilotic. The Maalem Empire is a large, aggressive military kingdom that follows the Way of Kalim (i.e., the “Church of Light”).
E Amazulia
This realm has the Pantheonic city-states of Tangor. It also contains the land of Arica, a powerful kingdom ruled by Mehari of the Roha dynasty.
S Amazulia
These lands are impressively wild, and sparse in population. However, there are warrior tribes that vie for control of the resources. Some have managed to carve out successful kingdoms. The most important two lands are Galazia (feudal magocracy) and Kefwe (a trade-based kingdom centered around a magnificent stone city). The racial groups resemble Bantu and San mostly.
TA 3008
-Gosbert II, Margrave of Marenburg;
-Moritz I, Duke of Esken;
-Emerik I, Duke of Braejr;
-Rennhold III, Duke of Lower Lotharia;
-Kaspar II, Duke of Upper Lotharia;
-Raganhard, Landgrave of Rendesken;
-Beroald IV, Margrave of Leisken;
-Milan I, King of Valkema;
-Ctibor I, Margrave of Merova;
-Lammert I, Duke of Ravenstann;
-Eberhard II, Duke of Adallbruck;
-Korbinian IV, Duke of Eusdria;
-Hartvik, Duke of Karinth;
-Fortunato (House Cabrini), Sinor of Alvaron;
-Rustico (House Folena), Duke of Taronia;
-Mercurio, Dictator of Accoro;

Kingdom of Tesfania
King: Jirair I
Language: Dvinzinian (Zoro-Almiran)
(A-Cilician Armenian)
Kingdom of Yalu Olharia
King: Alp Kahatir
Notes: This kingdom occupies part of the Yalu Basin, east of the Yevian principalities and west of the Gorak and Uvangar Khanates. Originally it was not occupied by sedentary peoples, but gradually it grew rich through trade and contact with the southern Church of Light. Now it is a civilized land, divided into administrative districts. It is ruled by a Khan, but the Khan’s decisions are influenced by a collection of wealthy oligarchs and by the Priests of Light.
Language: Proto-Olgarian (Eltey?)
(A-Volga Bulgars)
Sakari Subcontinent
Nurid Sultanate of Dythestenia (ruled in unison with Nithia in NA)
Sultan: Feredun
Nurid Sultanate of Nicostenia
Sultan: Dariuš
Sultanate of Alashia
(independent of Sargis rule, the Alashians were the progenitors of the Church of Light’s conquests under Salamun Kalim)
Sultan: Siraj Kalim
Nurid Sultanate of Ilarum
Sultan: Iraj
Nurid Sultanate of Merahšan
Sultan: Sorouš
Nurid Sultanate of Makistan
Sultan: Hirad
