Old Party Updated
-The party begins with Fenn, Carac,

Fenn the Brighthand, Heir to the County of Marcheheim
Race: Nordeskai
Class: Paladin
Sex: M
Level: 10
Age: 25
Alignment: Good
Motivation: Teleological faith
Attributes: PS 20, PP 16, PE 18, PB 17, IQ 14, MA 18, ME 19, SP 21
Height: 6'4"
Weight: 230
Hair: Golden blond
Eyes: Blue
Description: He has strong angular features, those who see him consider him very close to the Nordic ideal. Fenn is strongly built but graceful, has short hair, a resonant voice, and dresses richly but not garishly. His features also suggest a hint of Eldani somewhere in the past.
Disposition: Fenn is considered a good-natured and just man. He is driven by his faith in Vanya and the rightness of the Western Pantheon's ideals, which can make him seem fanatical and frightening to some and indeed he is totally willing to fight the heathen or those whom he considers evil. He is normally kind although he has a black temper when angered. His high caste is discernable from his strong will, natural leadership ability and magnanimity. In addition, Fenn considers his title-to-be a privilege he must earn, and is motivated to prove his ability through his crusading fervour.

Carac Landsknacht, Knight of the Troth
Race: Nordeskai / Westerendi
Class: Knight
Sex: M
Level: 10
Age: 23
Alignment: Law / Principle
Motivation: Acquire / maintain honor
Attributes: PS 22, PP 20, PE 14, PB 16, IQ 15, MA 13, ME 14, SP 19
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 205
Hair: Raven black
Eyes: Amber
Description: Lean and steely, Carac cuts a striking figure with his fair skin, very dark hair, gold tinted eyes and thin handsome face. He has semi-long hair and is almost always girt with armor and clad with weapons.
Disposition: He is generally a quiet and reserved fellow, though he has an unmistakeable air of authority nonetheless. Among friends he is more relaxed and has more to say. He is a well-meaning fellow though prone to introspection, sensitivity and rash decisions. He finds his emotions often interfering with his felt obligation to be chivalrous.
Notes: Carac is decended from Hinterlanders from northern Allon on his father's side, recently come to the Heldannic Empire. His mother is native.

Reyne the White, bride-to-be of Fenn and Lady of Silverholt
Race: Nordeskai
Class: Mage
Sex: F
Level: 12
Age: 25
Alignment: Good
Motivation: Dynastic

Height: 5'9"
Weight: 125

Eyes: Icy blue
Description: A woman of astounding and rare beauty, she is tall and delicate with pale skin, long straight hair, piercing eyes, and red lips.
Disposition: She is a wise and far-sighted woman, and she has a calmness unusual among the fiery-spirited folk of her profession. Her actions are driven by a rationality not common to most people, doubly impressive considering she is a woman. She is genuinely good-hearted but not quixotic, paralleling her future husband, though less zealous.
Notes: She is from a noble clan of a Shire in Allon and took up with Fenn after he courted her upon their meeting three years previously.

The great nations of Mormelar, Limellia, and the realms of Cerendas are majority Almareni.

The great nations of Allon, the Northern Kingdoms and the Heldannic Empire are majority Nordeskai.

Westerendi: Akin to RW Celts, though the Novi version has Elvish admixture.
Complexion: Pale to medium. All Caucasian hair and eye colors, although dark hair and blue or grey eyes dominate.
Stature: Men average 6', 190 lbs; women average 5'6", 135 lbs.
Most Westerendi live in the Western Empire, however there are groups of them in Allon (Hinterlanders) and Limellia (Velon).

There are also some other tribes akin to these three in Almaren, the most important of these is the Venethi (akin to RW Slavs) although these generally view themselves as apart from the High Culture of Almaren; their very being seems to revolt at conversion to the central Idea of the West.

History

The Elves, the oldest of the races, divide the history into Ages which Men generally accept. The First Age was the time of the Elves dominance and subsequent wars with the Immortal Thanatos who was finally driven into the Outer Void at great cost. This event signified the diminution of Elvish dominance. The Second Age saw the rise of Men, with the legendary Tyrans taking over most of the world. The Tyrans destroyed themselves in a civil war. The Third Age saw the rise of many successor Empires of Men (in Almaren this took the form of Milenia) and ended with the Elvish return to dominance during the Pentarchy. The Fourth Age saw the Pentarchy ended by the Free Alliance of Elves and Men, which resulted in the Milenian-imitator kingdom of Thyatis by Milenian survivors and the creation of a new Almareni High Culture farther West.

Notes

On magic: Magic is a transcendental thing because of the great power it confers upon its users. Very few souls who can use magic have the Arete necessary to achieve the cosmic transcendence which is truly potential in magic, however. Most magic users view it as a useful means to further their will-to-power. This is why mages will be found in the service of heads of State or overrepresented in the field of adventuring. Extremely powerful mages are often prevented from dabbling too greatly in the worldly affairs of men, however, by the existing balance of Gods and the not-well-understood forces of Paradox - it can be noted of course that few of the great mages actually desire to meddle with the Destiny of Mankind. The comparatively small number who do achieve the Beyond-Oracle status often become Gods. Great magery is not the only path to Godhood however.
